The programmes below are selected for this occasion by team size, duration and logistical fit. ## 23 April is the one day HR reaches the employee's family The entire corporate event calendar is aimed at the employee. 23 April is the exception: it is the one day an employee's family, and particularly their children, comes into contact with the organisation. The quality of that contact leaves a measurable effect on employee engagement — a company where their child had a good time stops being an abstract employer brand. The programmes on this page are built around the participation of employees' children: an activity flow split by age group, a supervision ratio calculation and a safety plan are standard scope. ## Programme options ### Company family day and picnic An outdoor format with children's activity stations separated from the adult area. The option that reaches the widest age range and draws the highest attendance. An indoor alternative for wet weather is planned at the quote stage. ### Children's workshops Ceramics, painting, chocolate and photography workshops, run with separate instructors and separate material sets by age group. Different content is used for the 6-9 and 10-13 groups. Letting children take home what they made extends the effect of the programme. ### Island and boat programmes The islands route and Bosphorus boat programmes, where the journey itself becomes the activity — the most chosen options in family formats. On boat programmes, age limits, life jacket stock and supervision rules are settled in advance. ### Museum and science routes Child-friendly routes among Ankara's museums and on the Eskişehir line. With a strong educational component and mostly indoors, they work independently of the weather. ### In-office family day A format that turns the office into the venue. Children see where their parent works, take a short office tour and move through workshop stations. There is no transport burden and it is the lowest-budget option. ## What makes planning a family event different A family day differs from a standard corporate event in three ways: - **Age distribution:** a programme cannot be built without knowing the number of children and their ages. The 3-5, 6-9 and 10-13 groups need different activities, different durations and different supervision ratios. - **Supervision ratio:** for workshops and outdoor activities we plan the number of supervisors per child by age group. That ratio is stated explicitly in the quote. - **Safety and emergency plan:** a first-aid officer on site, a lost-child protocol and a process for collecting allergy and special diet information are standard scope. Parental consent for photography and video is obtained separately. ## Format by headcount - **30-80 people (including children):** one area, 2-3 activity stations, one coordinator. - **80-200 people:** a separate registration desk, age-group wristbands, parallel stations and a rotating flow. - **200+ people:** a staggered entry plan, a site map, multiple coordinators and an extended first-aid team. ## Scope and quote Our quote shows the venue, workshop instructors and materials, refreshments, transport, the supervision team, the first-aid officer and field coordination on separate lines. The cost of an alternative space for wet weather is stated separately. The whole programme is closed with a single contract and a single invoice. You need to state the estimated number of adults and children, the children's age distribution and whether the programme will be in or out of the office; without those three pieces of information an accurate quote cannot be produced. 23 April is a busy date, so we recommend planning at least 6 weeks ahead. Because the venue, workshop instructors and supervision team all have to be planned at once, family day organisations need longer than standard corporate events. For programmes above 200 people we recommend 8 weeks. ### What information do you need for a quote? We cannot produce an accurate quote without three things: the estimated number of adults, the estimated number of children, and the children's age distribution. Because the age groups (3-5, 6-9, 10-13) need different activities, durations and supervision ratios, the programme is shaped around them. ### How is child safety handled? We keep a first-aid officer on site, plan the supervision ratio by age group, apply a lost-child protocol and use age-group wristbands. Allergy and special diet information is collected at registration. Parental consent for photography and video is obtained separately. ### What happens if it rains? For outdoor programmes we plan an indoor alternative at the quote stage and show its cost on a separate line. We usually fix the decision point at 48 hours before the event. ### Can a family day be held in the office? Yes, and it is the lowest-budget option with no transport burden. We build a flow consisting of a short office tour, workshop stations and a refreshment area. The dimensions and safety rules of your office determine the scope. ### What do you suggest for employees without children? We recommend dedicating part of the family day format to a shared activity the whole team can join.
