An Istanbul DMC (destination management company) is a local partner that plans and runs your entire group programme in the city — airport transfers, hotels, meetings, gala dinners, team building and excursions — and coordinates every supplier on the ground. Istanbul combines two continents, two major airports with direct flights from most European, Middle Eastern and many other capitals, and a large stock of hotels and venues in one city. The best hotel area depends on the purpose of the trip: culture, business meetings or evenings on the Bosphorus. - **Sultanahmet and the Historic Peninsula:** boutique and mid-size hotels within walking distance of Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace and the Grand Bazaar; suited to culture-focused incentive groups.
- **Taksim, Harbiye and Şişli:** large city hotels with ballrooms, close to the congress centres and the business districts; practical for conferences and meetings.
- **Beşiktaş and the Bosphorus shore:** waterfront hotels and palace-style properties, ideal for executive groups and gala evenings.
- **Karaköy and Galata:** design hotels close to the piers and the old city, popular with smaller groups.

Most Istanbul incentives and meetings are planned two to six months in advance, depending on group size and season. Spring and autumn are the busiest periods for corporate groups, and large hotel blocks, waterfront venues and event vessels are booked early. Smaller groups can often be accommodated at shorter notice.
