Overview
The mentoring meet-up retreat is a residential development programme lasting between 1 and 3 days that brings the mentor–mentee pairs of an in-house mentoring programme together face to face. The most popular formats are 2 days/1 night and 3 days/2 nights. With a mentoring coach and a moderator, the programme aims to strengthen the trust and familiarity that mentoring conversations, mostly held online, leave underdeveloped.
What is in the programme?
At the opening, pairs share their own stories, after which mixed teams are formed from different pairs. The skills workshops cover active listening, effective feedback, powerful questioning and goal setting with the GROW model, with role-plays on handling difficult conversations. In the experience-sharing sessions, real mentoring scenarios are worked through as case studies.
During the day there are outdoor games such as low ropes and orienteering, along with creative workshops built on making something together, such as painting, ceramics or ebru marbling. In the evening there are phone-free campfire conversations and a gala night. If senior management is attending, a strategy session can be added to discuss the programme's effectiveness and the goals for the next period.

Who Is It For?
It suits executive and leadership groups of 5–25, particularly HR teams running a mentoring programme and the mentor–mentee pairs within it. Physical effort is light; the outdoor games are designed to be short and low-intensity.
Planning Notes
- Transport from the office to the location is not included; a transfer can be planned as an additional service.
- Pairs' expectations of the programme should be gathered beforehand with a short survey.
- As headcount is planned around the number of pairs, an even split should be maintained.

Mentors and mentees take part together. Ideally, all mentor–mentee pairs attend at the same time. This strengthens the mentoring relationships, lets different pairs get to know one another and helps spread a mentoring culture across the company.
This retreat focuses entirely on deepening mentoring relationships. Unlike an ordinary social outing or team dinner, it uses mentoring skills workshops, experience sharing, and one-to-one and group exercises to help mentors and mentees understand each other better, communicate effectively and reach their goals. It also encourages connections between different pairs.
Yes, absolutely. The retreat is also suitable for pairs who have just started the mentoring programme or have not yet gained experience. Mentoring skills are taught from scratch in the workshops and reinforced through practice. More experienced pairs are offered greater depth and new perspectives.
The standard programme is 2 days/1 night or 3 days/2 nights. A single day can also be run as an intensive programme, but at least 2 days are recommended for the depth of the workshops and the relationship-building activities.
The price varies according to factors such as the chosen location (Türkiye or abroad), accommodation type (hotel, bungalow, eco-village), duration (number of days), number of participants, the number and profile of facilitators, and additional services (transfers, flights, speakers, photography, video). A tailored proposal is prepared to match the company's budget and expectations.
Accommodation and session arrangements are set according to the company's preference. Usually mentors and mentees stay in separate rooms (or, in shared rooms, mentor with mentor and mentee with mentee). In the sessions, they work together. At the company's request, however, mentor–mentee pairs can share a room or be kept entirely apart.
After the retreat, mentor–mentee pairs hold more productive conversations by using the skills they have gained (active listening, powerful questioning, effective feedback). The mentoring process also speeds up and deepens in line with the new goals and action plans set during the retreat. A post-camp follow-up report and online platform support can be offered as an additional service.
