Overview
A corporate celebration programme held on a private boat on the Bosphorus on the evening of 29 October. An evening format where your whole team sits at the same table, the management message can be delivered, and which becomes one of the best-attended events of the year.
Why is the programme built on a boat?
On a holiday evening, city traffic and venue capacity are the two biggest constraints on a corporate event. The boat format removes both: participants gather at a single point, the group stays together once the programme starts, and the whole evening is managed within one space. The Bosphorus is also the best route from which to watch the city's celebrations on the evening of 29 October.
The flow of the evening
The programme opens with welcome drinks and moves to seated dinner service once the boat has departed. Mid-dinner, a 15-20 minute section is set aside for the management address and any awards; music and a free programme follow. The flow is planned to the minute and the stage, sound system and presentation screen are set up to that plan.
Capacity and format
- 30-80 people: a single deck and a single service flow. The seating can be round tables or long tables.
- 80-150 people: a two-deck boat, a double service team and a registration desk. The stage is placed on the lower deck.
- 150-250 people: a staggered boarding plan, a marshalling team and an extended service crew. At this scale an early decision is needed on the boat charter.
Menu and drinks
The menu is built in one of three formats according to your preference: buffet, set menu or canapé. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other special dietary needs are collected with the participant list and served separately. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks packages are added to the quote as separate line items; either can be removed entirely according to your organisation's policy.
How far ahead should an incentive programme be planned?
Boat capacity on the Bosphorus on the evening of 29 October is one of the first things to sell out each year. The minimum planning time we recommend for corporate groups is 6 weeks; for events above 150 people we suggest extending that to 8 weeks. Weather may require the programme to run on a boat moored at the pier; that scenario is defined in the contract in advance and creates no extra cost.
Scope
The quote shows the boat charter, food and drink service, the technical setup (stage, sound, lighting, projection), the event coordination and the optional transport service as separate lines. The whole programme is closed with a single contract and a single invoice; for your procurement process, the TÜRSAB certificate, the insurance policy and the tax documents are sent in the annex to the quote.

The evening of 29 October is the busiest date of the year on the Bosphorus boats; suitable capacity usually sells out in early September. Even before your headcount is settled, we recommend blocking capacity at least 8-10 weeks ahead. The final participant number is confirmed 10 days before the programme.
The format works from 40 to 300 people. Below 40, partial use of a boat is more efficient than a private charter; above 300, two boats run in parallel and the protocol section is held simultaneously on both.
There are two options: meeting at the pier, or a coach from the office. Where most participants come from the same office, the coach is preferred: because city traffic on the evening of 29 October is unpredictable, travelling together is more reliable than individual journeys.
The boats work as two spaces, an enclosed saloon and an open deck; in poor weather the programme continues uninterrupted in the saloon. If the port authority cancels sailings — which is rare — the programme moves to a land venue the same evening. That alternative is defined at the contract stage.
Yes. A sound system, a wireless microphone and projection are part of the standard setup. Sound carries differently on the Bosphorus than at a land venue; the point on the route at which the address is delivered is set in advance in the programme flow.
