Balıkesir programmes are built around olive and olive oil production. The facilities along the Ayvalık, Edremit and Burhaniye line add both a gastronomy and a production-narrative component to a team programme. Mount Ida covers the nature leg within the same region.
The main reason companies choose Balıkesir is that visiting a production facility draws a meaningful parallel, particularly for production and supply chain teams. The second is that an olive oil tasting is an unusual and memorable experience. The third is that Mount Ida adds a nature programme to the same route.
The stops below are planned individually or combined depending on the programme; the route is finalised according to group size and total duration.
Production and supply chain teams, companies planning a gastronomy-themed reward programme, and groups looking for a nature component are the most frequent choices.
A two-day flow opens with an afternoon arrival, a production facility visit and a tasting; dinner in Ayvalık in the evening. The second day is a Mount Ida walk or the Cunda route in the morning, with the return after lunch. On single-day formats only the production and tasting block is planned.
Roughly 350 kilometres from Istanbul, four and a half to five hours by road; the ferry route via Bursa shortens that. Around two hours from İzmir. Distances within the region are 30-60 kilometres and vehicle allocation is needed throughout the programme.
A gastronomy and nature combination with one overnight stay is the most common format. Programmes including a production facility visit are built particularly for production teams.
October-November, the harvest period, is the most meaningful time for production facility visits; the machinery is running. Spring is the best period for Mount Ida walks. In summer the coastal component comes forward.
Outside the harvest period the facilities are not operating, so the visit becomes narrative-led; this difference is communicated to participants before the programme. Because of the distance from Istanbul, a single-day programme is not recommended.
Note: the olive oil tasting contains no alcohol; it suits every participant and requires no alternative service.

It can, but outside the harvest period (October-November) the machinery is not running and the visit becomes narrative-led. Programmes that want to see live production should be planned for the harvest.

Not recommended. The round trip is roughly nine hours on the road. A format with one overnight stay is both more productive and better balanced on cost.

Programmes are planned from 15 to 100 people. Simultaneous visiting capacity at production facilities is limited; larger groups are split into time slots.

It is set by the choice of trail. Flat, short beginner routes are available, and an alternative activity is planned for those who prefer not to join.
