How is a sample run-of-show built?
A typical single-day flow starts with an 08:00 departure and reaches the city around midday. The historic centre is toured with a guide before lunch, which is planned on the İskender route. In the afternoon either Cumalıkızık or the cable car up Uludağ follows; the two do not fit into the same day. The return departure is planned between 17:00 and 18:00. On two-day formats the first day is the centre and the second is Uludağ or Cumalıkızık.
How are transport and logistics planned?
There are two routes from Istanbul: roughly two and a half hours by ferry (Yenikapı-Mudanya), or three hours by road over the Osmangazi Bridge. On the ferry option, vehicle and passenger bookings are blocked for the group in advance; the sailing times directly determine when the programme starts. On the ascent to Uludağ, cable car capacity is split into time slots according to group size.
Which programme formats work here?
Single-day culture and gastronomy routes are the most common format. In winter, one-night team camps based at Uludağ come forward. Family company days are built with a Cumalıkızık and cable car combination. Where a meeting component is needed, hotel function rooms in the city centre are used.
When should it be planned?
Spring and autumn are the most comfortable periods for the historic centre. December to March is when Uludağ programmes are busiest and capacity fills early. In summer the city centre is hot, so the programme spreads across the morning and evening.
What should be watched when planning?
Ferry times are the hardest constraint in the programme; missing a sailing shifts the entire flow. Buffer time is therefore left on the return to catch the next sailing. For winter programmes an alternative is planned from the outset in case the road to Uludağ closes. Vehicle access is restricted at Cumalıkızık, so walking distance is factored in for large groups.
