Balkan programmes combine several capitals in a single route. The Belgrade, Sarajevo, Skopje and Sofia line makes it possible to see three or four countries in one programme, thanks to the short distances between them.

The stops below are planned individually or combined depending on the programme; the route is finalised according to group size and total duration.

How is a sample run-of-show built?

A five-night flow is built with one or two nights in each city. Transfers between cities are made by road in the morning, with the new city's route starting in the afternoon. Evening programmes are planned in the city centres. On the final day the programme finishes in whichever city the return flight departs from.

How are transport and logistics planned?

The route usually begins with a flight into one capital and ends with a departure from another. Distances between cities are 200-400 kilometres and take 3-5 hours by road. Border crossings are part of the programme and are built into the timing. On programmes requiring a visa the application calendar is built backwards from the programme date; the document list goes to participants in one message, and passport validity checks and appointment scheduling are tracked by the operations team. The visa outcome is individual and at the consulate's discretion.

Which programme formats work here?

Two- or three-night incentive and reward programmes are the most common format; field learning and partner visits can be added to the same programme.

When should it be planned?

May-June and September-October are the most suitable periods. Temperatures rise inland in summer. In winter, road crossings can take longer depending on conditions.

What should be watched when planning?

For international programmes we recommend 12-16 weeks of planning. The participant list must be confirmed at least 8 weeks ahead; flight allocation and cancellation conditions are shown as separate line items in the quote. On multi-city routes hotel blocks are arranged separately for each city, which extends the planning time.
