The corporate coffee tasting workshop is a hands-on team event led by a Q Grader or barista trainer, planned in 2, 3 or 4-hour options. It takes place at the company's own office or in a venue chosen in any province of Türkiye. Participants learn about the journey of the bean, brew coffee using different methods, taste in the professional cupping format and compare their notes by scoring them.
The workshop opens with the difference between Arabica and Robusta, the washed, natural and honey processing methods, and the effect of light, medium and dark roasts on acidity, body and bitterness. Brewing is then demonstrated with Turkish coffee in a cezve, the V60, Chemex, French Press, AeroPress and an espresso machine. In the three-hour programme, beans from Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, Colombia, Brazil and Sumatra are tasted side by side, and participants record aroma and body notes on a tasting form.
To close, coffee is paired with chocolate, dried fruit and nuts. In the comprehensive four-hour option, small groups brew their own coffee with a V60 or French Press, a blind aroma test is carried out, and the session ends with coffee served alongside a dessert. The Turkish coffee tradition, on UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage list, is also a natural part of the programme.
It is designed for executive and leadership teams of 5–25; as it runs at the table, seated and in conversation, it requires no physical effort. Because it is built on sensory comparison and note-taking, it works well after an intense day of meetings or as the social part of a management gathering.
Yes, the workshop can be held at the company's own office (a meeting room, kitchen or a large open space). Sufficient space (at least 20-30 m²), power sockets and a water supply are all that is needed. A café, restaurant, meeting room or hotel conference room can also be hired (extra charge).
Our trainers are coffee professionals holding the internationally recognised Q Grader (coffee quality specialist) certificate, Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) barista or roasting trainers, with at least 5-10 years of industry experience. They also hold adult education certificates.
No, the workshop is suitable for beginners. For those who have never had coffee training, every concept is explained in plain language. Those with advanced coffee knowledge are also offered new information and in-depth tasting techniques.
Usually 4-6 different coffee beans are tasted. Examples: Ethiopia Yirgacheffe (floral, fruity), Kenya (bright acidity, blackcurrant notes), Colombia (caramel, walnut), Brazil (hazelnut, chocolate), Indonesia Sumatra (earthy, spicy), Guatemala (cocoa, caramel) and Yemen (for Turkish coffee; dried fruit, spice). On request, the focus can be on Turkish coffee only or filter coffee only.
The workshop lasts between 2 and 4 hours. A group of 8-30 people is ideal. For larger groups (30-100 people), parallel sessions or a demonstration-led format (with a reduced hands-on element) is recommended. For more than 100 people, foyer-style tasting stands can be arranged.
Light snacks such as chocolate, dried fruit, hazelnuts, walnuts and almonds are served alongside the coffee tasting. A small dessert that pairs well with coffee (künefe, brownie, cheesecake) can also be added as an additional service. A main meal (lunch) is not included in the workshop.
Yes, every participant receives a participation certificate at the end of the workshop. It shows the participant's first name and surname, the name and date of the workshop and the trainer's signature. Certificates printed with the company logo can also be provided on request (additional service).
Yes, as an additional service, trainer support can be provided in English, German, French, Arabic, Russian and Spanish. The workshop content and tasting materials are also adapted to these languages.
The standard workshop uses a domestic espresso machine or portable professional machines. If the company wants to hold the workshop at a particular venue (for example, a café), that venue's professional equipment (La Marzocco, Victoria Arduino, Nuova Simonelli, etc.) can be used. In that case, venue hire is charged extra.
The Coffee Tasting Workshop is designed above all for executive and leadership teams of 5-25. The session flow can be adapted to headcount, departmental structure and the engagement outcome you want to achieve.
