The cross-departmental communication camp is a residential team development programme that splits people from different units, from sales to finance and from production to HR, into mixed teams and has them work together for four days. The camp can be set up at a location in Türkiye such as Abant, Sapanca or Ayvalık, or abroad. Through sessions led by a communication expert and a team coach, simulations and outdoor games, the disconnect between units is tackled head-on.
The first evening opens with the welcome, icebreakers and the forming of mixed teams. On the second day, active listening and feedback models are covered; in the afternoon the mixed teams work through a cross-departmental problem-solving simulation, and the causes of conflict are discussed through case studies. The evening quiz pushes participants to answer questions about other units' work processes.
The third day begins with trust-focused outdoor games such as low ropes, blind trust and the labyrinth; in the empathy session everyone steps into the role of another department. The same day, mixed teams put communication to a practical test in a cooking competition, and those dishes are eaten together in the evening. On the final day, meeting culture is addressed and an action plan to be implemented after the camp is written up.
It suits department and project teams of 8–35, particularly newly restructured or merged organisations and those experiencing problems with handovers between units. Physical effort is moderate; the outdoor games are short and at an intensity everyone can join in.
It can be held in any province across Türkiye (Bolu, Abant, Sapanca, Istanbul, Muğla, Antalya, Ayvalık, Erzurum, Trabzon, Nevşehir, Çeşme, Bodrum, Marmaris, etc.) and in any country requested abroad. The location is chosen according to the company's budget, duration and objectives.
The camp's core objective is to remove communication barriers between employees in different departments, break down the silo mentality, build mutual understanding and trust, and increase collaboration around shared goals.
While it depends on the company's structure, representatives typically come from departments such as sales, marketing, R&D, production, finance, human resources, logistics, IT and customer service. We recommend 2-5 people from each department.
The standard programme is planned as 3 or 4 days with 2-3 nights. A 2-day/1-night version is possible for an intensive programme, and a 5-day/4-night camp for a more comprehensive programme with time to recharge. It is set entirely according to the company's needs.
The programme has a balanced structure in which theory is reinforced through experiential learning. It is roughly 30% theory, 40% experiential learning and games, and 30% social and relationship-building activities.
The price varies according to factors such as the chosen location (Türkiye or abroad), accommodation type, duration, number of participants, the range of activities, coaching sessions and whether transport is included. A tailored proposal is prepared to fit the company's budget and expectations.
An action plan session is held at the end of the camp, and concrete steps are set to improve cross-departmental communication. A post-camp follow-up report and online coaching sessions are also offered as additional services.
Yes, real business processes can be addressed during the communication simulations and case studies. However, the camp's main purpose is to build relationships in a setting away from work and to develop communication skills. Heavy work discussions are not held unnecessarily.
The Cross-Departmental Communication Camp is intended mainly for department and project teams of 8-35. Its flow can be customised to headcount, the mix of departments and the collaboration outcome being targeted.
The camp is positioned in the premium segment. Final pricing reflects the number of participants, dates, transport, meals, facilitation and any additional activities.
Additional features that stand out in this programme: contribution to the local economy, ecological, carbon-free, low carbon, low waste and an accessible programme. Low-carbon transport, low-waste operations and local sourcing options can be added as required.
Use the tour request form to tell us your headcount, dates, preferred location, budget segment and any particular needs, and a proposal with alternative prices and programme options will be prepared for your organisation.
