The corporate retreat camp is a residential programme that takes the executive team away from the daily workflow to a venue in nature, where strategy, leadership and renewal work are carried out together. The duration is set between 2 and 7 days; the most popular formats are 3 days and 2 nights and 4 days and 3 nights. Alongside locations in Türkiye such as Bolu, Sapanca, Ayvalık or Cappadocia, it can also be held abroad.
The programme is built in modules. In the strategy module, the team carries out SWOT and PESTLE analyses, sets 1-, 3- and 5-year goals and draws up a roadmap using OKRs or a Balanced Scorecard. The leadership module works with a coach on crisis simulations, decision-making and feedback. In the creativity section, new ideas are generated with techniques such as design thinking and SCAMPER.
On the wellbeing side, there are morning yoga, breathwork and mindfulness sessions, nature walks with trekking guides, and digital detox hours when phones are put aside. Outdoor team games and sports tournaments bring the team together outside their formal roles, and the programme closes with a campfire and a gala evening.
It suits executive and leadership teams of 5-25, particularly the senior management of companies going through restructuring, a merger or rapid growth. Physical effort is light to moderate; walks and games are adjusted to the group's fitness level.
A retreat camp is far more comprehensive and strategic than an ordinary social outing or team dinner. The camp brings together modules on strategy setting, leadership development, team spirit, creativity, wellbeing and renewal. The aim is not only to enjoy the time together but to focus on helping the company reach its strategic goals, developing its managers and strengthening team spirit. It also includes elements such as a digital detox and time to recharge in nature.
It can be held in any province across Türkiye (Bolu, Abant, Sapanca, Istanbul, Muğla, Antalya, Ayvalık, Erzurum, Trabzon, Nevşehir, Van, Çeşme, Bodrum, Marmaris, Fethiye, Uludağ, Palandöken, Kartalkaya, Ilgaz, etc.) and in any country requested abroad (Barcelona, Amsterdam, Dubai, Bali, Phuket, Singapore, New York, London, Paris, Rome, Athens, Georgia, etc.). The location is chosen according to the company's budget, duration, season and goals.
For the camp to be effective and reach its strategic goals, the personal participation of the CEO or the company's most senior executive (General Manager, Chair) is strongly recommended. Their leading the strategy sessions, communicating the vision clearly and meeting employees in an informal setting is critical to the camp's success. If the CEO cannot attend, the camp content is adapted accordingly.
The standard programme is 3 days and 2 nights or 4 days and 3 nights. An intensive 2-day, 1-night programme is possible, as is a more extensive camp with rest time of 5-7 days and 4-6 nights. The duration is set entirely around the company's needs, budget and goals.
Before the camp, the organising team holds a discovery meeting to identify the company's needs. This meeting covers the company's strategic goals, leadership needs, team dynamics, participant profile, budget and duration in detail. The modules (strategy, leadership, team spirit, creativity, wellbeing, reward) are then selected and designed to suit, and the workshops, games, tournaments, speakers and instructors are chosen accordingly.
A digital detox means participants stay away from phones, tablets, computers and similar devices during the camp and focus entirely on the camp activities and each other. Some companies prefer to collect phones, while others take a voluntary approach (one free hour at lunch and dinner, switched off at other times). The aim of the digital detox is to let employees step away from work pressure, email and social media and build genuine connections. The decision rests entirely with the company.
The price depends on factors such as the chosen location (Türkiye or abroad), accommodation type (hotel, bungalow, camp house, glamping), duration (number of days), number of participants, the modules selected (strategy, leadership, team spirit, creativity, wellbeing, reward), the number of instructors and coaches, workshop materials, the types of tournaments, whether transport is included, and additional services (photography, video, gift kits, travel insurance, alcoholic drinks). A tailored quote is provided to match the company's budget and expectations.
By the end of the camp, the company's strategic roadmap, action plans, assigned responsibilities and timeline have been set. Participants receive an end-of-camp report and follow-up documents (strategy summary, action plan, resource list). Online follow-up and coaching sessions after the camp can be added on request. Employee motivation, sense of belonging and team spirit also rise visibly.
