The Beyoğlu & Pera Tour is a comprehensive discovery experience designed specifically for corporate companies, centred on Beyoğlu and Pera — the liveliest historic, cultural and artistic quarter of Istanbul. The tour is planned for teams arriving by private or company vehicle from Istanbul and the surrounding provinces (Kocaeli, Sakarya, Tekirdağ, Edirne, Kırklareli, Yalova, Bursa and others). For teams arriving by road, tour coordination is provided at the agreed meeting point in Beyoğlu. Transfers within Istanbul can also be arranged at the company's request.
From the late Ottoman period to the present, Beyoğlu and Pera have been the centre of culture, art, entertainment, commerce and modern life in Istanbul. Known as "Pera" in the 19th century, the district is full of embassies, theatres, arcades, churches, synagogues, taverns, bookshops, antique dealers and galleries. Today, İstiklal Avenue, the Galata Tower, Tünel Square, Çiçek Pasajı, the Fish Market, the Pera Museum, Istanbul Modern (which may be relocating), SALT Galata, the Ağa Mosque, the Hüseyin Ağa Mosque, St. Antoine Church, the Galata Mevlevi Lodge, Asmalımescit, French Street, the Galata Bridge and many more points make up the richness of this tour.
On this tour, led by professional guides, the group starts at Tünel Square and walks the length of İstiklal Avenue, visits the historic arcades, spends time in art venues such as the Pera Museum or SALT Galata, walks around the Galata Tower, and then takes in the view over the Golden Horn and the Historic Peninsula from the Galata Bridge. The famous street food of Beyoğlu — mussels, kumpir, ice cream, wet burger, fish sandwich and boza (in season) — can also be tried.
Running roughly 6-7 hours, the programme starts and ends at an agreed meeting point in the Beyoğlu area. Breakfast, lunch, museum entries, coffee breaks (at the historic coffee houses) and shopping stops can all be included. At the company's request, a tavern with live music or a rooftop restaurant can be added in the late afternoon or evening.
