The last corporate gathering of the summer
30 August falls at the end of the summer leave period and the start of the new business cycle. In the corporate calendar this date serves two functions at once: bringing back together a team dispersed over the summer, and creating a shared starting point going into the final quarter. Held before the intense pace of October, this gathering also offers a suitable frame for announcing fourth-quarter objectives.
The programmes on this page are weighted towards history and culture, aiming to create a shared team experience through routes with a strong narrative.
Programme options
Anıtkabir and the Ankara route
A full-day programme covering a visit to Anıtkabir and Ankara's Republican-era buildings. It can be run from the Marmara region as a single day, departing in the morning and returning in the evening.
Çanakkale and the Troy line
A one-day or one-night programme covering the memorials and the ancient city of Troy. One of the routes with the strongest narrative and a high effect on in-team bonds. Because accommodation capacity in the region is limited at the end of August, early planning is needed.
Bursa route
A programme covering Ottoman-era buildings and the city's culture, reachable from Istanbul as a day trip. A low transport burden and broad participation.
Konya and Central Anatolia
A two-day format combining culture and history. Suited to programmes where dispersed teams meet at a common point.
Democracy Island and city routes
A half-day option for teams that do not want to leave the city at the end of August.
What is particular about planning at the end of August
- Return-from-leave calendar: when team members return from leave directly affects attendance. We recommend confirming the participant list at least three weeks before the programme.
- Heat: on routes weighted towards open-air sites, the run-of-show is planned around midday temperatures; visits are spread across the morning and late afternoon, with shade and water breaks built into the flow.
- Capacity: the end of August is a period of rising corporate and individual demand alike. For programmes with accommodation, five weeks of planning is the floor.
Format by headcount
- 20-50 people: one vehicle, one guide; a day route.
- 50-150 people: multiple vehicles, marshalling split into sub-groups at visit sites.
- 150+ people: a staggered movement plan, site coordinator, registration desk and a backup scenario.
Scope and quote
Our quote shows transport, guiding, museum and heritage site entry fees, catering and field coordination on separate lines. On programmes with accommodation, room type allocation is planned separately. The whole programme is closed with a single contract and a single invoice.
Stating the date, your estimated headcount and whether the programme will be a day trip or include accommodation improves the accuracy of the first quote.
