Corporate Special Occasion Programmes

Special occasion programmes for companies, from New Year to Republic Day and the religious holidays: calendar, planning times and suitable programme options.

Special occasions are the most measurable window in corporate communication

A company's communication calendar is largely fixed: budget cycles, performance reviews, sales targets. Special occasions are one of the few points in that calendar where you can reach the entire team at once, with attendance that is voluntary and high. That is why the difference in attendance between a history programme held around Republic Day and an ordinary midweek event can be as much as double in most organisations.

This page brings together the recurring special occasions in the corporate calendar. Each day has its own programme page carrying suitable trip and event options for the date, format recommendations by headcount, the recommended planning time and the deadline for requesting a quote.

The annual corporate special occasion calendar

In Türkiye, corporate event activity concentrates in four periods across the year:

  • January-March: new-period target meetings after the year-end close, and International Women's Day events on 8 March.
  • April-May: family events for employees' children on 23 April, and sport and outdoor team programmes on 19 May.
  • August-November: history and culture programmes around 30 August and 29 October, and commemoration programmes on 10 November.
  • December: year-end reviews, award nights and New Year events — the busiest period of the calendar and the one that fills earliest.

Added to these are the Ramadan and Sacrifice holidays, which move within the official calendar. Because they create long breaks, corporate travel in those periods shifts towards longer domestic routes and international programmes.

Why does planning time matter so much?

On special occasions capacity is shaped not only by your demand but by that of every organisation planning for the same date. Coach, guide, restaurant and venue supply is fixed while demand compresses into a few days. In practice:

  • 20-50 people: planning 4-6 weeks ahead is enough for most routes.
  • 50-150 people: 6-8 weeks are needed; longer for programmes with accommodation.
  • 150+ people: 8-12 weeks. For the New Year period 10-12 weeks is a realistic floor.

Each special occasion page also states the recommended planning time and quote deadline for that specific day.

Choosing a format: a trip or an event?

Special occasion programmes are built in three main formats. A corporate trip is a half- or full-day route that takes the team out of the office; attendance is high and the logistics relatively simple. An event gathers people at one venue with a managed run-of-show; award ceremonies, galas and family days fall into this format. A workshop is participatory work in small groups; ceramics, photography or gastronomy make it a highly memorable option on special occasions.

Most companies combine two rather than settling on one: a trip in the morning, a group lunch and a short address in the afternoon. Once headcount passes 100, the format has to be fixed and the movement plan written down.

Budget and scope

On special occasion programmes the price depends on the date, headcount, travel distance, catering scope and venue hire. Rather than quoting a fixed list price, we prepare a quote in two separate figures — per person and total — once we have your brief. The quote shows transport, guiding, museum and site entry fees, catering and field coordination on separate lines, so you can narrow or widen the scope to your own budget.

Every programme is closed with a single contract and a single invoice. The documentation, insurance and TÜRSAB certificates your procurement process requires are supplied with the quote.

How we proceed

Pick the relevant occasion from the calendar, review the programmes on that page and complete the quote form. Stating your date, estimated headcount and, if you have one, your budget range noticeably improves the accuracy of the first quote. Once we have your brief we check capacity within one working day and come back with two or three suitable format proposals.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on team size: we recommend 4-6 weeks for 20-50 people, 6-8 weeks for 50-150, and 8-12 weeks for events above 150. The New Year period is the exception; for December programmes you need to start planning in early October.

There are separate programme pages for New Year and year-end, 29 October Republic Day, 10 November commemoration programmes, 23 April family and children's events, 8 March International Women's Day, 19 May Youth and Sports Day, 30 August Victory Day, and the Ramadan and Sacrifice holidays. We also build programmes for internal occasions that are not in the calendar (founding anniversaries, plant openings, dealer gatherings).

Yes. Because museum and heritage site opening hours can change on public holidays and transport and restaurant capacity tightens, we build the run-of-show around that. Some companies hold the event on the holiday itself, others on the working day immediately before; we offer alternatives for both scenarios.

For family formats such as 23 April and company picnics, yes. On family programmes we prepare separate activity areas by children's age group, a supervision ratio and a safety plan. Sharing the number of children and their age distribution in the guest list speeds up planning.

There is no fixed list price for special occasion programmes. Price is calculated from the date, headcount, travel distance, catering scope and any venue hire. The quote is prepared as two separate figures — per person and total — with scope shown on separate lines.

Yes. Transport, guiding, catering, entry fees and field coordination are all gathered under one contract and one invoice. The TÜRSAB certificate, insurance policy and tax documentation your procurement process requires are supplied with the quote.

Our lower limit is 15 people. For teams of 15-50, half-day city routes and workshop formats work efficiently. For events up to 500 people we work with a staggered movement plan, a registration desk and a site coordinator.
