10 November is a day of commemoration
The programmes on this page are built within a commemoration frame. None of the programmes we prepare for 10 November contains a celebration, gala or entertainment component, and we recommend that organisations keep the same line in all their communication about the day. A properly built 10 November programme offers the team a shared space of meaning and shows the organisation's values through conduct rather than words.
Programmes run in two forms: visit and route programmes outside the organisation, and a commemoration session held in-house.
Programme options
Anıtkabir corporate visit programme
A corporate group visit to Anıtkabir, planned with marshalling, group order and guiding narrative. For organisations requesting a wreath ceremony the necessary application is made in advance — this extends the planning time and must be raised at least four weeks ahead. The programme after the visit is usually completed with Republican-era buildings or museums in Ankara.
Ankara: Republican-era history route
A full-day programme covering the public architecture of the early Republic, museums and the decision-making places of the period. The narrative is built chronologically; with corporate groups the focus is on establishing context rather than transmitting historical detail.
Istanbul: Dolmabahçe and the period route
A half-day programme covering Dolmabahçe Palace and period buildings nearby. The most practical option for teams based in Istanbul that need to return to work the same day.
Çanakkale route
A one-day or one-night programme along the memorials, with a strong narrative. One of the routes with the highest effect on in-team bonds.
In-house commemoration session
For organisations where taking the team out of the office is not possible, a short commemoration programme held in the office or a meeting space. It consists of a moment of silence, a short presentation, period documents or a photographic display, and an optional speaker session. It can be supported by a live stream for remote teams.
How should the run-of-show be built?
We pay attention to three things in 10 November programmes:
- Length: a short programme with a clear start and finish is more effective than a long, dense flow. For in-house sessions 30-45 minutes is enough.
- Tone: celebratory language is not used anywhere in the programme. We recommend the same tone for the invitation text, the internal announcement and any social media post.
- 09:05: for groups travelling between cities, the run-of-show is planned so the group is at a suitable point at that time; the departure time is calculated backwards so nobody is stuck on the road.
Delivery by headcount
- 20-50 people: a city route or a day trip to Ankara with one vehicle and one guide.
- 50-150 people: multiple vehicles; marshalling split into sub-groups at the visit sites.
- 150+ people: a site coordinator, registration and marshalling team, and a minute-by-minute flow plan.
Scope and quote
Our quote shows transport, guiding, entry and protocol arrangements, catering and field coordination on separate lines. For in-house commemoration sessions, presentation content, technical setup and an optional speaker are shown as separate items. The whole programme is closed with a single contract and a single invoice.
Telling us whether you want a wreath ceremony, and which city the team will travel from, speeds up planning.
