The Istanbul Palaces corporate trip package is a four-day programme that visits the Topkapı, Dolmabahçe, Beylerbeyi and Yıldız palaces with a guide, dedicating a separate day to each. The sequence lets the group follow Ottoman court life chronologically, from the reign of Mehmed the Conqueror to the final years of the empire. Palace admissions are included in the package. What is in the programme?
Topkapı Palace: built in the 15th century by Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror and the seat of government for around four centuries, the palace is visited across all four of its courtyards; the Imperial Council (Divan-ı Hümâyun), the Treasury and the Sacred Relics are the focus of the day. Dolmabahçe Palace: the Selamlık section and the Ceremonial Hall of this palace in Beşiktaş, built by the Balyan family between 1843 and 1856, show how the state presented itself during the era of Westernisation.
Beylerbeyi Palace: Sultan Abdülaziz's summer palace in Üsküdar is visited with its reception rooms, where foreign state guests were received, and its terraced gardens. Yıldız Palace: in the complex of pavilions that served as the seat of government under Abdülhamid II, the group explores the Yıldız Palace Museum and the gardens within the grove. Free time is left at the end of each day in or around the palace gardens.

- Transport, food and drink and insurance are not included in the package; daily transfers need to be planned separately.
- The Harem apartments at Topkapı and Dolmabahçe and a visit to the Yıldız Porcelain Factory carry an extra charge; the porcelain factory requires advance booking.
- The programme can be condensed into two days (for example, Topkapı and Dolmabahçe on one day, Beylerbeyi and Yıldız the next); in that case the walking pace increases.
- As the palace interiors are visited in a guided flow, group times need to be set in advance.

Topkapı Palace is closed on Tuesdays. The other palaces (Dolmabahçe, Beylerbeyi, Yıldız) are closed on Mondays. On other days of the week they are open 09:00-18:00 (summer) / 09:00-17:00 (winter). They are closed on the first day of religious holidays and on New Year's Day. We plan the tour programme around these days.
Admission fees are updated regularly and differ from palace to palace; Topkapı charges separately for the Harem, and at Dolmabahçe the Selamlık and Harem can be visited on a combined ticket. Current fees are confirmed in your quote. Topkapı Palace is a museum under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, while Dolmabahçe, Beylerbeyi and Yıldız palaces belong to the National Palaces Administration. Museum Card (Müze Kart) validity differs by site, so your group's entry plan is confirmed in the quote. Children aged 0-6 enter free, and discounts are available for students and teachers.
No. Each palace takes an average of 2-2.5 hours to visit (3-4 hours for Topkapı). With travel and meal breaks, finishing all four palaces in a single day is close to impossible, which is why the package is spread over four separate days. At the company's request, an intensive two-day programme (Topkapı + Dolmabahçe on day 1, Beylerbeyi + Yıldız on day 2) or a three-day programme (Topkapı one day, Dolmabahçe one day, Beylerbeyi + Yıldız one day) can be arranged.
The Selamlık (Mabeyn-i Hümâyun) is the section where the sultan conducted affairs of state, received foreign statesmen and held official ceremonies. The Harem is the private living quarters of the sultan's family (the queen mother, wives, concubines and children). The Harem is plainer and more private than the Selamlık. A combined ticket is recommended to see both sections.
The Chamber of the Sacred Relics displays holy relics such as the mantle of the Prophet Muhammad (Hırka-i Saadet), his banner (Sancak-ı Şerif), sword, teeth, beard and footprint; the pot of Abraham, the staff of Moses, the sword of David and the turban of Joseph. This section, of great importance to Muslims, attracts large numbers of visitors.
Yes, the Yıldız Porcelain Factory (which now operates as a museum and shop) is open to visitors. However, as the factory section no longer produces porcelain, the visit covers only the historic production machinery, the exhibition hall and the gift shop. Group visits require advance booking (additional service).
Photography without flash is permitted in the interiors of all the palaces (flash is restricted to protect the historic artefacts). Flash, tripods, selfie sticks and video filming (professional equipment) are not allowed. Professional filming requires advance permission from the National Palaces Administration. Photographs can be taken freely in the gardens and outdoor areas.
