The Yedigöller corporate trekking tour is an outdoor programme, usually lasting a full day, in which the team walks the lakeshores and forest trails of Yedigöller National Park, north of Bolu, with a nature guide. The walk is paired with orienteering and team games; if wished, the programme can be spread over two days with a hotel stay. It is designed for teams of 25-250 who want to step away from their desks and move together.
The park takes its name from seven lakes formed when landslides dammed the valley: Büyükgöl, Deringöl, Seringöl, Nazlıgöl, Sazlıgöl, İncegöl and Küçükgöl. The forests, dominated by beech, hornbeam, oak and fir, turn yellow and crimson, especially in October. Along the way the guide explains how the lakes were formed and describes the area's vegetation; the length of the route is set according to the group's fitness.
After the walk, the team moves on to an orienteering stage using the maps and group flags handed out. Team games are played in open areas by the lakeshore, and the day closes with a sharing session and a photo stop. On the overnight programme, a different lake route can be walked on the second day.
Suitable for companies of 25-250 who want to practise communication and shared decision-making, or to bring their team back together in nature after a stressful period. Large groups are split into small teams, each with its own guide. The effort level is moderate; shorter lakeside routes can be chosen for participants who do not walk regularly.
Yedigöller National Park lies within the province of Bolu. It is about 2.5-3 hours (160 km) from Istanbul and about 3 hours (230 km) from Ankara. As it is about 7 hours (560 km) from İzmir, tours departing from İzmir are run with an overnight stay.
The walking routes are easy to moderate. The day programme covers a total of 6-8 km and the overnight programme 8-10 km. The lakeshores are flat, and the forest trails have gentle slopes. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
Coaches depart from agreed central points on the European and Asian sides of Istanbul; from central points in Ankara such as Kızılay, Çankaya and Yenimahalle; from central points in İzmir such as Konak, Karşıyaka and Bornova; and, in the surrounding provinces, from the main stop nearest the company's location. Door-to-door transport is offered as an additional service.
We recommend comfortable walking shoes, layered clothing suited to the season (a wicking T-shirt, a fleece, a windproof or rain jacket), a backpack, at least 1-1.5 litres of water, any personal medication, sun cream, a hat and sunglasses.
In light rain the tour can continue (suitable clothing is recommended). In heavy rain, storms or other adverse conditions, the programme is postponed or an indoor alternative is put in place. The decision is made by the organising team on the morning of the tour.
Yes, the tour is planned exclusively for companies. It can run with a minimum of 25 people; pricing may differ for smaller groups.
Yedigöller Trekking is particularly suitable for large company teams of 25-250. The programme flow can be tailored to headcount, departmental structure and the motivation outcome the company has in mind.
