The Anıtkabir Guided Tour is a meaningful visit designed specifically for corporate companies to Anıtkabir, the resting place of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of the Republic of Türkiye. The tour is planned with flexible travel options: by air from Istanbul, İzmir and Ankara, or by road for teams from Ankara and the provinces around it (Eskişehir, Konya, Kırıkkale, Aksaray, Kırşehir, Bolu, Düzce, Zonguldak, Çankırı, Karabük and others). Flights from Istanbul, İzmir and Ankara and airport transfers can be arranged within the programme, and for teams arriving by private or company vehicle from the provinces around Ankara, a meeting point and tour coordination are provided in central Ankara. Transfers to the airport from the provinces around Istanbul and İzmir are also offered as an additional service.
Anıtkabir is not only a mausoleum; it is a complex of buildings that tells the story of Atatürk's life, his reforms, the War of Independence and the founding philosophy of the Republic of Türkiye. Built between 1944 and 1953, it is made up of the Road of Lions, the Ceremonial Plaza, the Mausoleum and the Peace Park. The Atatürk and War of Independence Museum presents visitors with his personal effects, photographs, wartime documents and panoramic paintings.
On the tour, led by professional guides, the programme includes the walk along the Road of Lions (its 24 lion sculptures standing for the Turkish nation and its strength), a moment of silence in the Ceremonial Plaza, entry to the Mausoleum and a wreath-laying ceremony (on corporate request), a visit to the Atatürk and War of Independence Museum, and a walk through the Peace Park, where trees brought from countries around the world are planted.
The programme is not limited to the Anıtkabir visit. Other significant points in Ankara can be added according to what the team needs: the First Assembly Building (War of Independence Museum), the Second Assembly Building (Republic Museum), the Ethnography Museum, Ankara Castle, the Roman Baths, the Temple of Augustus, Hacı Bayram Mosque, Kocatepe Mosque, Atakule and the landmarks of modern Ankara.
Running roughly 8-10 hours (weighted towards Ankara itself), the programme starts and ends with Ankara Esenboğa Airport transfers for participants arriving by air. For those arriving by road, the tour starts from the agreed meeting point in central Ankara. It can be extended with breakfast, lunch, a bazaar visit and museum tours. A fuller two-day Ankara programme can also be planned around corporate needs.
