The Çanakkale Memorials Tour is an event designed specifically for corporate companies: a journey of commemoration and history across the ground where the Gallipoli campaign was fought, one of the most significant turning points in the Turkish nation's struggle for independence. The tour is planned with flexible travel options: by air from Istanbul, Ankara and İzmir, or by road for teams from Çanakkale and the provinces around it (Balıkesir, Tekirdağ, Edirne, Kırklareli, Bursa and others). Flights and Çanakkale Airport transfers can be arranged within the programme, and for teams arriving by road, a meeting point and tour coordination are provided in central Çanakkale.
The Gallipoli campaign of 1915 was a great victory for the Ottoman Empire against the Allied Powers, and the campaign in which Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's military ability came to the fore. The Gallipoli Peninsula is ground where thousands of Turkish soldiers were lost, and where the Anzac soldiers are also remembered. This tour is not simply a trip: it is an experience in which a sense of history deepens and respect and gratitude are strongly felt.

57th Regiment Memorial: the memorial built for the 57th Regiment, who fought against the first landings at Gallipoli and were lost almost to a man.
Chunuk Bair and Kemal Yeri: where Mustafa Kemal gave the order "I do not order you to attack, I order you to die", and where the shrapnel struck him. His bust and monument stand here.
Anzac Cove (Arıburnu): the cove where the Australian and New Zealand soldiers (ANZAC) landed. The Anzac memorials and cemeteries are visited.
Çanakkale Martyrs' Memorial: built in memory of all the soldiers lost in the campaign, and now the symbol of the Gallipoli Peninsula.
Corporal Seyit Monument: the monument to Corporal Seyit, who carried shells to the Nusret minelayer and worked the gun at the Rumeli Mecidiye Battery.
Çanakkale Epic Promotion Centre: an interactive museum where the campaign is brought to life with 3D and laser presentations.
Kilitbahir Castle and the Namazgah Battery: fortifications of strategic importance at the narrowest point of the strait.
Dardanos Tumulus and Museum: a museum displaying the archaeological finds of the region (if time allows).
Çanakkale waterfront and Clock Tower: a short break and a photography stop in the city centre.
The programme can be planned as a half day or a full day at the company's request. The full-day programme covers most of the points above. In keeping with the meaning of the site, a wreath-laying ceremony can also be arranged at the memorials (an additional service). Lunch is usually taken at a regional restaurant in Gelibolu or Eceabat.

FAQ
18 March, the day of commemoration and the week of the Çanakkale victory, and Anzac Day on 25 April are the busiest. Formal ceremonies and crowds are expected then. For a quieter visit, April-May or September-October is recommended. The site carries its meaning at any time of year.
Permission must be obtained in advance for a wreath-laying ceremony at the Martyrs' Memorial (at least a week ahead). The ceremony consists of a moment of silence, the national anthem, the laying of the wreath and a short address. The wreath is supplied by us.
We offer transfers to the airport from the provinces around Istanbul, Ankara and İzmir. From the provinces around Çanakkale (Balıkesir, Tekirdağ, Edirne, Kırklareli, Bursa) you can join the tour directly in central Çanakkale by road.
The half-day programme (the memorials only) runs 4-5 hours; the full-day programme (memorials, museums and the city centre) 7-9 hours. With flight times and transfers added, a full day should be planned.
There is walking between the memorials and monuments (2-3 km in total). Comfortable walking shoes and clothing for the season are recommended. Bringing a waterproof or umbrella is advisable — it is a windy area.
The content of the tour carries the themes of war, loss and commemoration. It suits children of 12 and over; for younger children the decision is left to the parent. It is ideal for secondary and high school groups as a way of building a sense of history.
