The Milan corporate design trip is an international programme of 3 to 7 days in which teams working in fashion, furniture and industrial design explore Italy's design capital with a guide who specialises in the sector. It begins with a flight from Istanbul, Ankara or İzmir to Malpensa or Linate. Three to five days are enough for the standard tour; during Salone del Mobile in April, a 4-5 day programme is preferred.
On the fashion side, the group tours the Quadrilatero della Moda, bounded by Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga, Via Manzoni and Via Sant'Andrea, with a guide. On the design side, visits cover the Triennale Milano and the ADI Design Museum, which displays Compasso d'Oro award-winning products; at the showrooms of Italian furniture brands, booked in advance, the team examines product and material details.
The galleries and studios of Brera, the canals of the Navigli and Porta Nuova, home to the Bosco Verticale and the CityLife towers, show the contemporary fabric of the city. Cultural stops include the rooftop terrace of the Gothic Duomo, the Teatro alla Scala Museum and Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper fresco at Santa Maria delle Grazie.
For department and project teams of 8-35; suited to furniture manufacturers, interior architecture practices, fashion and textile brands, lighting companies, and procurement and R&D teams. There is a lot of walking around the city, so a moderate level of effort is required.
Salone del Mobile 2026 will be held from 21 to 26 April at the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition centre. It is the world's largest furniture and design fair and takes place every April. We can plan the tour programme around these dates.
The guided walking tour of the Quadrilatero della Moda takes about 2-3 hours. During this time the group walks along Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga, Via Manzoni and Via Sant'Andrea, with commentary on the boutiques of famous fashion houses, vintage ateliers and hidden showrooms.
Milan is served by three main airports: Milan Malpensa (MXP - the main international airport), Milan Linate (LIN - closest to the city) and Milan Bergamo (BGY - low-cost flights). Malpensa or Linate is generally used for the tour.
