Overview

Milan programmes are built around design, fashion and production culture. Because the city is both a business centre and a design capital, a programme combines a cultural route with sector visits naturally.

Why do companies choose this destination?

The main reason companies choose Milan is that the city has a direct professional payoff for design- and production-focused teams. The second is that the trade fair calendar can be built into the programme. The third is that surrounding routes such as Lake Como add a different tone.

Which locations are visited?

The stops below are planned individually or combined depending on the programme; the route is finalised according to group size and total duration.

 • Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II: the centre of the city; the start of the walking route.
 • Brera district: design and art galleries; suited to walking discovery.
 • Navigli: the canal quarter; the evening programme and gastronomy stops.
 • Design and showroom visits: the sector component; the appointment process is planned separately.
 • Lake Como: roughly an hour from the city; a separate full-day block.
 • Santa Maria delle Grazie: the Last Supper fresco; ticket capacity is very limited and is blocked early.

Which teams does it suit?

Design, fashion, retail and production teams; companies planning a trade fair visit; and organisations running a reward programme are the most frequent choices.

How is a sample run-of-show built?

A flow with two overnight stays starts on the first day with arrival and a walk around the Duomo, then Navigli in the evening. The second day is a showroom or trade fair visit in the morning and Brera in the afternoon. The third day is Lake Como or free time, with the return in the evening.

How are transport and logistics planned?

The flight from Istanbul takes roughly three hours. Malpensa, Linate and Bergamo airports serve the city; transfer times range from 20 to 60 minutes depending on the airport. Getting around the city is mostly by metro. On programmes requiring a visa the application calendar is built backwards from the programme date; the document list goes to participants in one message, and passport validity checks and appointment scheduling are tracked by the operations team. The visa outcome is individual and at the consulate's discretion.

Which programme formats work here?

Incentive and reward programmes with two or three overnight stays are the most common format. Field learning trips and partner visits can be added to the same programme; where an institutional visit is requested, the appointment process is planned separately.

When should it be planned?

During the design weeks in April and September the city is extremely busy; hotel prices rise noticeably and capacity sells out early. May-June and October produce a more balanced result. In August many businesses are closed.

What should be watched when planning?

For international programmes we recommend 12-16 weeks of planning; most of that is for the visa calendar. The participant list must be confirmed at least 8 weeks ahead, otherwise the visa process will not be ready in time. Flight allocation, group ticket rules and cancellation conditions are shown as separate line items in the quote. In trade fair periods the hotel block must be made 16-20 weeks ahead.

Note: ticket capacity for the Last Supper fresco sells out months ahead; if that component is added, booking is made as soon as the date is confirmed.

Share your date, headcount and budget band through the quote form and a suitable route for this destination, with tiered pricing, follows within the same working day.

FAQ

The sector value is high but hotel prices and crowds are at their peak; capacity has to be secured 16-20 weeks ahead. If budget is the priority, May-June or October is preferred.

It is. Design- and production-focused showroom visits are arranged by appointment; the request must be made at least 8 weeks ahead and acceptance is at the discretion of the organisation concerned.

It can, but it needs a full day. It is roughly an hour from the city and the round trip fills the programme day.

A three-day format with two overnight stays is enough. If Lake Como or a trade fair is added, three nights are planned.

Milan corporate programme prices are prepared according to headcount, season, transport type, accommodation standard, catering plan, guiding and any team activity required. For a firm price, share your company size and date range.

Milan can be built at different scales for department gatherings, dealer trips, executive meetings, incentive programmes and employee motivation events.

Yes. Alternative programmes can be prepared on the Milan route in the budget, luxury and premium segments. Hotel, transport, restaurant and activity level are selected according to the budget segment.

Depending on the programme content, contribution to the local economy, low-carbon transport, low-waste operation, nature-focused activity and carbon-free alternatives can be added to the scope.
