Why is the venue so decisive?

The single strongest variable shaping the impression a corporate programme leaves is the venue. The same content is remembered completely differently in a standard hotel meeting room and in a historic pavilion. That effect produces direct commercial return particularly on programmes hosting external guests — dealer gatherings, visits from international partners, award ceremonies.

How is a permit obtained for a historic venue?

Most historic venues are attached to public institutions and corporate use requires a permit. The permit process takes between 4 and 12 weeks depending on the venue; at some sites the group size and time slot are fixed, at others food and drink service is either impossible or restricted to specific points. Sound systems, stage builds and decoration are limited at most historic sites. Date flexibility therefore matters more in this category than in any other.

What can and cannot be planned?

Guided group visits, interior tours, protocol receptions and photography are possible at most of these venues. Gala dinners, stage shows and formats involving loud music are only possible at certain venues and with additional permits; on most programmes those components move outside the venue — onto a boat, to a nearby restaurant or to a hotel function room. This split format (historic venue by day, separate venue in the evening) is the most common solution.
