An Istanbul DMC (destination management company) is a local partner that plans and runs your entire group programme in the city — airport transfers, hotels, meetings, gala dinners, team building and excursions — and coordinates every supplier on the ground. Kurumsal Geziler is an Istanbul-based, TÜRSAB-licensed DMC (licence No. 12558) organising incentive trips, meetings, conferences and corporate events for international companies and agencies since 2015.
You work with one coordinator and receive one proposal and one invoice; licensed services such as transport, catering, audio-visual production and entertainment are delivered with our licensed solution partners.
What does an Istanbul DMC handle?
A DMC takes care of everything that happens from the moment your group lands until it leaves.
- Arrivals and departures: meet-and-greet at Istanbul Airport (IST) on the European side and Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) on the Asian side, with coach or minibus transfers.
- Hotels: sourcing and contracting room blocks, rooming lists and check-in coordination.
- Venues: hotel ballrooms, historic venues, waterfront restaurants and private boats for meetings, receptions and dinners.
- Meetings: meeting rooms, staging, audio-visual equipment and simultaneous interpretation through our solution partners.
- Gala dinners and awards nights: venue, menu, entertainment, branding and run of show.
- Team building and activities: sailing, city challenges, workshops and outdoor programmes.
- Excursions: guided tours of the old city, palaces and the Bosphorus with licensed guides.
- On-site coordination: a hospitality desk, staff at every transfer and a single point of contact throughout.
Why choose Istanbul for incentives and meetings?
Istanbul combines two continents, two major airports with direct flights from most European, Middle Eastern and many other capitals, and a large stock of hotels and venues in one city. Groups can hold a meeting in the morning, walk through Byzantine and Ottoman landmarks in the afternoon and dine on the Bosphorus in the evening. The city suits short incentive trips of three to four nights as well as congresses and dealer meetings, and it combines easily with extensions to Cappadocia or the coast.

What does a 3-day Istanbul incentive trip look like?
A typical incentive itinerary balances culture, free time and one or two memorable evenings.
| Day | Morning and afternoon | Evening |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | Arrival at IST or SAW, meet-and-greet, transfer and hotel check-in | Welcome drinks and a sunset cruise on the Bosphorus |
| Day 2 | Guided old town tour: Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapı Palace, Grand Bazaar | Dinner in a restaurant with a view of the old city |
| Day 3 | Half-day meeting or team activity, then a visit to Dolmabahçe Palace or free time | Gala dinner or awards night in a waterfront venue |
| Day 4 | Breakfast, check-out and transfer to the airport | — |
The programme is adapted to your flights, group profile and season. For background on planning an incentive here, read Incentive travel Istanbul: what international companies should know, and for other destinations see incentive travel in Türkiye.
What team building activities are possible in Istanbul?
Istanbul offers team building on the water, in the old city and in the green areas around it.
- Sailing and regattas on the Bosphorus, with teams crewing yachts under a skipper — see the sunset corporate sailing experience.
- City challenges and photo hunts in Sultanahmet, the Grand Bazaar, Beyoğlu or Kadıköy.
- Culinary workshops and food trails, such as the Kadıköy culture and food trail.
- Craft workshops such as marbling (ebru), calligraphy or tile painting.
- Outdoor days on the Princes' Islands or in the forests north of the city.
- Corporate social responsibility activities planned with local partners.
Can you organise meetings, conferences and exhibitions in Istanbul?
Yes — we support the full MICE spectrum: meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. Istanbul has purpose-built congress centres in the city centre, large exhibition centres and many hotels with ballrooms and breakout rooms. As your DMC, we source the venue, coordinate staging, audio-visual production and interpretation through our solution partners, and add the hospitality layer around it: delegate transfers, hotel blocks, social programmes, partner programmes and post-congress tours. Venue capacity and technical requirements are confirmed against your brief before the proposal is finalised.

Where should a corporate group stay in Istanbul?
The best hotel area depends on the purpose of the trip: culture, business meetings or evenings on the Bosphorus.
- Sultanahmet and the Historic Peninsula: boutique and mid-size hotels within walking distance of Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace and the Grand Bazaar; suited to culture-focused incentive groups.
- Taksim, Harbiye and Şişli: large city hotels with ballrooms, close to the congress centres and the business districts; practical for conferences and meetings.
- Beşiktaş and the Bosphorus shore: waterfront hotels and palace-style properties, ideal for executive groups and gala evenings.
- Karaköy and Galata: design hotels close to the piers and the old city, popular with smaller groups.
- The Asian side: Kadıköy and Ataşehir offer a different side of the city and are convenient for arrivals at Sabiha Gökçen Airport.
For larger groups we often combine a main hotel with a second property nearby, keeping transfers and the evening programme shared.
How far in advance should we plan?
Most Istanbul incentives and meetings are planned two to six months in advance, depending on group size and season.
Spring and autumn are the busiest periods for corporate groups, and large hotel blocks, waterfront venues and event vessels are booked early. Smaller groups can often be accommodated at shorter notice. Once dates are fixed, we request options on the key elements (where suppliers allow) while you review the proposal, and confirm timings for flights, venues and visits during planning.
Which Istanbul experiences suit international groups?
Experiences that combine the water, the old city and a memorable dinner work well for groups visiting Istanbul for the first time.
- A private Bosphorus cruise at sunset or with dinner
- A guided old town tour of Sultanahmet, Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace and the Grand Bazaar
- Palace visits such as Dolmabahçe Palace, Beylerbeyi and Yıldız
- A private chef's menu for executives — see the Istanbul corporate fine dining experience
- A day on the Princes' Islands
How does the proposal process work?
The process has three steps and one point of contact from start to finish.
- Brief: you share the group size, dates, departure cities, objectives, budget range and any must-haves.
- Options: we return two or three programme options with an itemised proposal, so each line — hotel, transfers, venues, meals, activities and staff — is visible.
- Delivery: after confirmation, one coordinator manages contracts, rooming lists, suppliers and the on-site schedule, and the team stays with the group throughout the programme.
